Nutrition & Foraging

Get ready for an epic lesson on nutrition, biology, oceanography, and so much more! This is a live in-person class hosted by Georgie and Alanna. We will discuss the nutrition and energy in seafood, mitochondrial health, species diversity & abundance, as well as hands-on foraging techniques for shellfish and seaweed.

We’ll be sipping seaweed tea and discussing the nutrition of seafood as well as what sourcing of sustainable products. Each student will get to forage for their own mussels and learn the ecology and oceanography of the area. You’ll learn, safety and sustainability in the rocky intertidal. Get ready for a good one!
